Jalali Calendar
It was devised in 1077 CE by Omar Khayyam and a group of royal astronomers. It is more accurate than the Gregorian calendar, being in error one day in 5,000 years. It had twelve months of thirty days each, with five intercalary days being added after the last month. It had a system to keep a balance with the solar year.
