Introduction

These lists includes government documents -- acts, bills, statutes, laws -- from 1085 until 1949. They include the date, the name, and the significance of each.

Some of these documents have been repealed, but I have not recorded them here. It may be difficult to understand in our day why the discriminatory laws were passed. The rights of other laws are taken for granted today. It is necessary to understand the culture of the time in order to realize the importance of the laws.

If one looks closely, the development of the parliamentary procedure and the rights of all people can be seen. All who live in an English-speaking country owe much to this process.
