Parliament
Parliament is bicameral and is located in Cape Town.
The National Assembly has 400 members, who are elected to five-year terms by popular vote. The National Council of Provinces has 90 members. 10 members are elected by each of the 9 new (1994) provincial legislatures and serve five-year terms.
