Parliament is unicameral and is located in Ljubljana.
The Drzavni (National Assembly) has 90 members, who are elected to four-year terms. 90 members are elected by direct popular vote. 50 members are elected proportionately. The Council of State has 40 members, chosen to five-year terms by the government. It has no legislative power, and is advisory only.
